Anybody notice that Sonic Heroes didn't do very well on the PS2 or Xbox? Its Gamecube edition placed 2nd in sales the month of its release (Second only to some football game; go figure). Also, the Sonic Mega Collection Pluses for PS2 and Xbox bombed, even though they had exclusive content. I'm beginning to think Sonic may not make it to the next generation if Sega decides to make Sonic games for PS3 and X360. Is anyone else afraid of this?

I hope that Sonic at least returns to Nintendo systems. I thought video games were awesome in the early 90's when it was Sonic (Sega) vs. Mario (Nintendo).

I'm sure we'll see Sonic games on Revolution. Like you said, the series is doing the best on Nintendo systems (GameCube, in this case). The only way that we won't get to play Sonic on Revolution is if Sega is really stupid.

hmmmm it is a frightening prospect but I doubt it will happen. Still if it does we will still have sonic handheld games which have been the best sonic games for a few years now.

And anybody else notice that the other version of Sonic Heroes had some problems? Such as frame rate problems and uglier textures.

And anybody else notice that the other version of Sonic Heroes had some problems? Such as frame rate problems and uglier textures. But you see, normally, no-one would care. They bought up the PS2 version of other games, even though the PS2 version had those problems. EGM, a gaming mag, has placed a bet that Sonic's first next-gen appearance will be on PS3. However, in a recent Nintendo Power interview, a Sega producer called bull on that prospect. He said the Sonic makers and other Sega factions are heavily interested in Revolution software at the moment. That is GOOD news. Apparently, PS2 and Xbox owners wouldn't care about older games like Nintendo owners do.

It seems like all they [PS2 and Xbox] got is FPS and games where you steal cars (GTA). What ever happened to the good old games like platformers, puzzles, and adventure games. There seems to bee too few of them left.

Because, the gaming community is made up of a bunch of Sony fanboys and Microsoft nerds who think that either a) Graphics make the game b) Killing people for the hell of it is a unique pastime c) The word "classic" means "old and boring" d) Online gaming is the only way to enjoy multiplayer, or e) It's a Sony/ Microsoft product! Let's buy it!!
