With magazines becoming more expensive every year can you see a future for them against websites. At the moment everytime you get a magazine it is normally a month old and sometimes it seems a waste of money when you can just read all the news online for free and have more aswell. Can you see a future for magazines?
Your comments would be very much appreciated as I am writing an article on it.

Honestly, this might seem pretty shallow, but I subscribe to EGM for the nice layout, visuals of the games, etc. It's a magazine that's well thought out with some interesting articles in it. I don't care for their opinions all that much, really not at all, actually, but it's worth reading to compare my opinions with other game reviewers'.

I don't think magazines will go away. I've got a subscription to National Geographic, and I usually read it for the science, history, etc., not for the news. There are other magazines out there too that don't have any breaking news. I think news in magazines is better because it has much more details.

Well, duh! Of COURSE mags will live on. Problem is, they ARE getting expensive. It's easier to subscribe than to buy each new issue individually. I'm a subscriber to Nintendo Power and Game Informer, and will probably subscribe to Electronic Gamer Monthly (1 year free? Sold). So, I'm into gaming magazines, and plenty of them.

Magazines aren't going anywhere. As long as they have exclusive coverage of games, which most of them do, they'll be able to attract an audience. Not only that, but some people simply like to read magazines. For example, I subscribe to Nintendo Power, EGM, GamePro (free subscription), and Game Informer. I also pick up the latest issues of the UK's CUBE magazine at my local Barnes & Noble. Can I get most of the news in those magazines on the Internet? Sure I can. But the non-news stories, such as exclusive hands-on previews, interviews, etc., are what keep me interested.

Honestly, I don't see them going anywhere. It feels good to have something that you hold in your hands and you know they had a (most likely) month to work on, rather than a website that gets updated on a daily basis. Sites like this are good, but it's always nice to see something like Game Informer's column where people who work in the industry give their opinions. That, to me, is worth paying for.
EDIT: Also, you can refer back to these so long as you keep them; with websites, there's always the possibility the page will be deleted.
Also, 100th post. Yay.
