I have an interesting (and a tad violent) idea. Lets say in a new online mode there's a mode where you have to blow up the enemy base (like Ratchet & Clank 3), and your in an Arwing. Maybe you could crash your Arwing into the base to cause a hell lot of damge and the pilot can jump out, but to avoid making things cheap there will be missiles on the base that easily take the Arwing out.

Beautiful idea. I'd almost completely forgotten about the multiplayer mode.

John - Elemental beams sound like they could be pretty cool. It kind of reminds me of Ikaruga, which has color-coded beams (I think). NN - Nice idea.

Blech...elemental stuff has been beat to death in other games. Maybe if we could think of a good new innovative way to implement it. But not just fire and ice beams etc. Banjo-Tooie had Fire and Ice eggs. Now THATS innovative.

No fire, no ice, no water or wind or lightning... I GOT IT! What if...! Nah, that's st00pid. Hm, lemme think... um... What if we had... No, light and dark were used in Ikaruga and Metroid Prime 2. Crap. This is hard. What about additional weapons, then; or the ability to customize your Arwing to influence its performance? For example, you could include a kind of cannon that shoots out rapidfire spurts if you hold down the fire button (Y'know, as apposed to homing lasers). Or maybe you could replace the jets in order to give your Arwing different air performances (Like a rolling dodge that damages the enemies--but NOT your Arwing). Now THAT sounds tight. Thanks for the "NO CLICHES!" rule, myles!

0.o I just got an idea! How about making StarFox an RPG-type game! Like you said you could upgrade your Arwing, and Fox, or whoever you choose as your main character. There could be an online play mode...oh man...it could be like a GIANT MMORPG something like World of War Craft. Or maybe something like Diablo II. Where you and some of your friends online can do mission together?
I would love to have it be an RPG. I'm a HUGE fan of RPGS that are mixed with other genres. Killer 7 for example. FPSRPG. Not ALOT of RPG style, but you can upgrade your character.
Anyways...whatdaya think?

Online Multiplayer Includes:
- Multiple skins featuring lots of Star Fox characters and for every 100 wins you get you unlock a new skin including famous Nintendo characters such as Mario, Link, and Kirby, and other miscellaneous skins such as Shigeru Miyamonto and the famous "Regginator".
- Lots of new and innovative weapons including the disguise costume, which makes you look like a member of the other team allowing you to trick many enemies, speed boots let you charge around the map inflicting damage to every enemy you crash into for a limited time, and a Nintendo DS, which lets you use the touch screen to pick a certain area on the map to completely bomb while the top screen keeps track of what's going on in front of you, and many more! (Note: To avoid making things cheap these weapons have a short amount of ammo and are hard to find)
- An all new online mode where 8 teams try to blow up the other teams' bases over 50 maps that all span from land, sea, air, and space supporting up to 128 players at a smooth 75 frames per second, from people playing across the world. Capture the Flag, deathmatch, juggernaut, and king of the hill are also available.
To be continued...

Not ALOT of RPG style, but you can upgrade your character. Anyways...whatdaya think? Uh... Not World of Warcraft. Not Diablo 2. Like you say, it's a cool idea to upgrade your character, along with his ship. His HP should be measured in numbers, not some lame "Health meter". When you finish a level, you can distribute your EXP you earn from killing enemies, collecting items, and *bonus* objectives (Like not using a cerain weapon throughout the mission, or not running out of ammo for any one weapon, etc.). You can distribute the points to: HP Ammo Expansion (Plus 10 to every weapon, other than rocket launcher and Gatling gun. Those get a +1 and +5, respectively) Physical Strength (Influences the character's jumping and hand-to-hand power) Speed When you kill an enemy, he usually drops some cash. Use this to upgrade your Arwing or the LandMaster Tank. Categories: Max HP. Bomb Limit. Shield Time. Boost Speed. New Cannons! (Like the aforementioned rapidfire. Also: bloblike lasers that attach to a vehicle and dissolve it!) But the RE4 camera system stays. I hated the camera system to Assault. As far as weapons go, that DS-ish thingie Nerd mentioned sounds awesome, but it should stay in the multiplayer. So, for the main game, here's a cool idea: what if we include the NES Zapper Light Gun as a gag weapon. Ironically, it's also the strongest firearm in the game.
