ps3.ign.com/articles/696/696062p1.htmlPS Biz Brief 06 Reports PS3's launch plans, PSP's new features, and PS2's unchanged future. All the news, live from Japan. by IGN PlayStation Team March 15, 2006 - Sony Computer Entertainment and its impending PlayStation 3 console made headlines tonight for the first time in a big, big way since May. While the business presentation may not have been the megaton-blast of game and hardware news that some had hoped (no games were shown at the event, with SCE still planning in the future for playable PS3 demonstrations), a number of fantastic and potentially shocking announcements were made at the event. Not to be left out, SCE's successful PSP handheld system was also given reason to shout about with announcements of new features and future plans. And even SCE's workhorse PS2 system was given mention at the event, although not in the way that some might have expected. ---------------------------------------- NG: Looks like Sony is playing some or most of their cards.
And BTW, there's even more offical news about the future of PS3, PSP, and PS2 on the source above this IGN report.

Yeah, I read that. I'll believe it when I see it. They plan producing 6 million copies for a world wide launch in early November? Let's just wait and see.
Oh, and I'm assuming many of you have seen the Untold Legends screens for the PS3. Not quite as good as that Killzone trailer, are they? But hey, if we get it, at least we'll have access to the Matrix and 4D gaming, and Live at that (whatever the hell that means). You have to love Kutaragi's insane speeches.
Edit: Obviously I didn't read it right, apparently the 6 million units will be available by March of '07. All my doubts about having enough product this holiday season stand though.

It'll be the 360 launch all over again. High demand, not enough systems, bugs and system crashes... you name it. I don't trust launch consoles from Microsoft or Sony. I'll get one around the summer of 07, assuming I have the money and can find one.

What's with Kutaragi's "4D" comment? Seriously... 4D? That makes absolutely no sense.

What's with Kutaragi's "4D" comment? Seriously... 4D? That makes absolutely no sense. Sometimes I have a hard time deciding who's harder to figure out: Ken Kutaragi or Jack Thompson. They're both crazy. What's just silly is that for some reason EGM put Kutaragi at #2 on their "Best Game Designers" Top 10, which is retarded. I'd never put him there just because he made the PlayStation; he'd have to do more than that, like Shiggy or Mikami-san or even the late Gunpei Yokoi (creator of Metroid, Game Boy, and Kid Icarus) have.

Oh, I already had a pair. They were issued out by Sony, had disc read errors, and a grotesquely designed controller. Like all Sony products...
