Well, I was at my dad's house today.. because today if my mom's birthday (for those who don't know, she passed away 11yrs ago), and so he took me to the cemetary to put flowers on her headstone, and let me stay at his place to visit all of the cats as well. I even got to order a stick of 256mb of ram. Highest amount for one stick I can get for this computer, 3 sticks total. So yeah. Anyways.
When I was at his house, he let me grab a SNES and one of the N64s, and some games. Sad to say, that we don't have all the games probably (he doesn't remember), and I don't have that expansion pak for the N64 to play Majora's Mask, but I can find that at Fun Trade.
So yeah.. here I am cleaning up both systems and controllers and such to see if they work. I'm also hoping my OoT still works as well.. I hope it does. I have been wanting to play that game forever.. been a long time for me.
So.. lets hope everything works... I got 2 power paks (AC adapters) for the N64.. so I hope that at least one of them still works.

Dude, I keep telling you, it was rereleased on GBA. Go out and get it! ...Wait, you DO have a GBA, right? Anyway, Shiva, I'm sorry to hear your mom passed away. I hope your systems work... My N64 is going through some tribulations right now (It won't even read Mario Tennis), so good luck on yours.

I dont wanna spend money on somthing i had once. its like losing somthing and going to walmart and buying a new one, even though you are too lazy to find the old one.

Refurbishing/modding old systems is cool. I think I'll MOD my SNES.

SNES... in order to mod it to play Japanese games, all you need to do is find a good set of pliers and some kind of plastic cutter knife to take out part of the plastic mold and thats it. a common repair of the NES is taking it apart to replace the 72 pin connector

Or you can get a gamebit (or a set of different sizes). Which will open the SNES, N64 and GCN. I'm gonna order me some as soon as I can. I need to open up my SNES and N64 and clean them.. they've never been cleaned thoroughly. I need to open them up, and let the cases soak in some hot water. The cases smell like cat pee... X.x;;

I made one of the mario games on the game boy color say when it starts up "Your a nasty pasty in may" Which is totally random! But anyway it was pretty funny and had a pic of mario wearing shades. Sad to hear that your mother passed away

Then don't mess with it. I have experience with stuff like this. I've been opening controllers (practically every system I have owned, except the GCN ones), and opening up PS1s and Sega Genesis'es ever since I was about 10yrs old. I got curious, stole one of my dad's screwdrivers, and opened up the SNES controller. XD Ever since then.. I got into opening up stuff, cleaning, and putting stuff back together.
Which is why I loved playing with LEGOs... GAH WHY DID ALL 10,000+ PIECES OF MINE HAVE TO GET BLOWN AWAY BY THE WIND!? <_<

I still have Legos, but they are mixed with Mega Blocks in my closet. XD I haven't really opened much stuff up. I could never open up a Nintendo Product to clean it up due to my family wasn't in posession of a screw driver. So all my games that were loose and needed cleaning inside never got fixed, so my mother threw them away. I missed Beavis & Butthead T_T It was broken.

System update:
The SNES works. I just need more games, and so far, even though I only played until I got the sword, Link to the Past is working. Not sure if the save battery is completely dead though. It has deleted files before.
I just got an AV cable set, which can be used for multiple systems. I have been able to fully test out the N64 now. Although, not sure if it's the AC adapter, or the power pak, but my N64 did reset a few times when I turned it on. Must get that checked out.
