Well, my site gave it Game of the Year in 2004 (yes, over Halo 2), so I think I know it's awesome. What my intended message was "it's two years old...why haven't you played it yet?"  I'm thinking about buying it for Xbox...it's only $20 now. I am sorry for double posting, but I just found this out about the xbox version of HL2! The game isnt as good as the PC version because its limited by the xbox's hardware, so lots of times in the game, the frame rate drops. And another thing that sucks about it is that the game only features the single player campain, so that means no multiplayer. |

Well, the PC version is no different...all you have is single-player and multi-player is just playing CS: Source. Not a big deal, really, especially for the price. |

actually, I just got the full game today, and I not only got HL2 and CS:source, but I also got Half-life:source, HL2:The lost coast, HL Deathmatch:source, AND!!! HL2 Deathmatch, For ONLY $40!!!! AT WALMART!
Thats like, 6 games for the price of one!

yeah, it was!
but ive been investigating the prices of HL2 for a month or so, and ive been upgrading my pc just so I can play it! And my Graphics card makes the game run smoothly (it is a pretty powerful GPU) and the RAM is optimal for the game (256 is required, but 512 *me*, is recomended) and my CPU is pretty powerfull also.
