PSP Ads Draw Global Ire: psp.ign.com report

Sony has launched an advertisement campaign for their White PSP. Unfortunately, the NAACP and any other racially sensitive people are deeply offended by it:

And I thought the squirrel ads and graffitti ads are worse.

Personally, I don't find the ad racist, 'game-advertising' wise so i'm not bothered by it(At first, I did admit I found this one ad racist till I saw the other PSP White ad pics). Then again, since Sony(or SCE Europe) is responsible with this ad, they may as well face backlash by sensitive people who hate racism a lot.

Dude, Sony asked for it. The advertisement certainly didn't look friendly, either. Not to mention the use of stereotype "whites are racist" statement. That ought to offend not only black people, but white people as well. It doesn't matter if it's a PSP or a cure for cancer, folks: the way it's advertised is what's wrong.

I agree w/ Pilgrim for once...there's no defending Sony. They're clearly using shock advertising to generate headlines. Last October they had a Jesus ad that said "Ten years of passion" and then the graffiti ads they were putting on buildings across the country. I'm not a big fan of government involvement in petty offenses, but I think they should have looked into punishing Sony to send a statement over the graffiti.

All the PSP adds are trash. I'm not saying thie becuse I loath $ony, but because they are racist and retarded. I'm not politically correct, but that's f'ing rediiculous.
