I have yet to see Perfect Blue, but I liked Satoshi Kon's other works, however, I hear Perfect Blue is by no means lighthearted. You ever watch Shinkai's works? "Voices of a Distant Star" or "The Place Promised in Our Early Days" (or something like that)

Nah, haven't, and now that I've done a little research I don't really think Perfect Blue will please the parents. Assuming I get over $50 for Christmas money, I'll probably just get FF12 instead, but not before finishing Xenogears.

Let's see... anything I want, I can get myself. The things I'd like to see would be:

• Being allowed to say "Merry Christmas" at my workplace without getting reprimanded because I'd "offend" some Muslim/Jew/Buddhist/whatever... personally, I don't think they ought to care what other people celebrate during winter
  
• Somebody kicks the Supreme Court's ass into gear so that they'd let people actually celebrate Christmas without it being deemed "unconstitutional"
  
• The decision made during Roe vs. Wade would be repealed and abortion would finally die
  
• That the brave soldiers fighting in Iraq right now either come home for Christmas or at least get a Christmas card and a present
  
• The ACLU gets dissolved. World peace ensues
  
• Toys for Tots gets enough toys to give to needy children
  

If any of that happens successfully this year (I know that some will, some won't), I'll be happy.

- Do you get offended when someone says Happy Hanukkah? If so, then you can't have that. My Jewish friends don't care if I say Merry Christmas, but I usually just say holidays any ways.
- I don't care about that usually. We just have a holiday party anyways. Doesn't matter what belief. We get 'nacks in class.
