NoK Site Open(DSLite to Launch in Korea in Jan)

Today, Nintendo has announced that they will launch the DSLite in Korea next month on Janurary 18th. Also, the Wii will also launch there, but not till the end of 2007.

Also, as a 'rumor' for now, Nintendo also is collaborating with NEXON(and many more Korean game developers)to bring games to their consoles:

Moreover, the NOK site is up:

Only the DSL is featred here on this site with only two 'non-game' games(Brain Training) at this time along with a commercial. The site has almost the same feel as the Japanese Touch DS Site:

Looks like Nintendo is expanding their reach beyond Japan, America, Europe and Austrailla. I wish them luck in their goal of reaching new audiences.

I find the most interesting part of this to be the fact that Nintendo is now working with Korean developers. A Wii exclusive MMO suddenly seems a lot more likely...

Reggie said himself ago that he would love to see some MMOG's on Wii in the future. ^_^

At this point, I think it'll be a matter of time before we stuff like Starcraft on the DS and/or Wii.

Hmmm, a Korean Wii game... Interesting, considering that Korea has historically repelled most things Japanese due to their legacy of rivalry.
