www.psu.com/node/9941?From this, it sounds very likely that they'll be remaking FFVII. If they do, then I'm gonna buy it. If they release it for the PS3 exclusively, then I'll buy a bloody PS3 and then buy it. And, judging from what they said in the 3rd paragraph, and also from the Dirge of Cerberus secret ending, it likely that they'll make a sequel. If they do, I'll faint.

I kinda doubt it'd be EXCLUSIVE to PS3, considering circumstances as they are now. But, it's good that VII might get an actual direct sequel instead of a bunch of spinoffs.

Yeah, they HAVE to make a sequel, introducing a new character (Genesis/G) at the very end of a game. They can't not make a sequel after teasing fans like that.

I wouldn't mind a remake, but I doubt it would be a PS3 exclusive with the fact that Sony is losing it's loyalty. I would prefer a direct remake, only with more side quests and such. I don't want additional main characters or alterations to the story... of course it would be cool if there is a special thing that if you beat FF VII, then you can go back through it and once it gets to the Arieth scene, which we all know that is, the game takes a different direction, but is relatively the same... except the world is screwed, because the Life Stream won't come to save them.
Speaking of which, it's been a long time since I've actually sat down to play my 360, DS, PS2, or anything.

I reckon a ADB (like FFXII) system on FFVII would be cool. Obviously, instead of quickening they have Limit Breaks.

I'm cool with either battle system. I just hope they keep the old materia system and all that jazz. None of that license-board or junction system crap.

License board system was cool, but yeah, to date I think the materia system is the best.

License board system was cool, but yeah, to date I think the materia system is the best. My favorite FF management system would have to be FFX's "gameboard" style of leveling up. You don't REALLY gain levels, but you DO get more powerful, and it was innovative at its time. You know what would be cooler? If they mixed all three systems into one.

FFX had a great system in place, the license board was more customizable but eh...I'd rather everyone had their set class so I don't have to do such micromanagement. Different strokes for different folks though.

Yeah, the sphere grid was very interesting. The thing I hated about it was how tedious it was. See, to get Licenses in XII you simply needed the license points. But to get stronger in the sphere grid you not only needed enough Sphere levels, but also the correct spheres to activate it.

ah, but DID he wear a hat? eh? eh? No, but he didn't need a license for it either way.
