Oh, it's 'complete', all right.
And yeah, Forza 2 on X360 beaten MP8 on it's first day sales. But MP8 held on strongly after that so that's great for MP8. And no suprise about Pokemon. Proves that the franchise is strong and running, and that Pokemon is 'still' not a 'fad'. ^_^

Hmm, unless I somehow am reading the charts wrong that can't be right. MP8 and F2 came out on the same day (ship date was 29th) and so they had a grand total of 1 street day each in this month's NPD. It's impressive for both to be in, but Mario Party definately took the crown.

Yay for Pokemon! I got that game after scrounging around a bit.... I was lucky enough to find it used ($30), in great condition, and at a GameStop Membership discount. And the game is just mind-blowing... well, all except for the fact that it still sticks to the same formula too closely for anyone to tell a significant difference between any PKMN game (Besides all the new Pokemon, of course). That, and the touch-screen minigame "Contests" are stupid wastes of everyon's time. Can't wait to kick butt online! ... As soon as I get a frickin' router, at least.

Well, John, Game Freak felt that they can't fix what ain't broke. Which is one of the reasons why D/P is still selling so well and breaking records. And nobody's 'forcing' you to play the minigame contests, either. Just don't play them if they don't interest you.
Oh and as for more news about the May NPD, a certain 'Princess' speaks out about it. ^_^:

But the fact that a Nintendo-published game for DS doesn't have very good touch interface technology kinda urks me.

Etrian Odyssey makes quite good use of it as a cartography tool. Aside from that, yeah I can see your point. I'm sure I've played one or two games from Nintendo with great ideas but I can't think of any.
Oh! Pac-Pix was cool I thought.

Haven't played Pac-Pix, or Pac N'Roll. I'd like to, though.
