Discuss anything about this conference. Me: Mario Kart is pimp and I still <3 Reggie.

Waiting for it to end so I can d/l the Metroid footage. Galaxy in November and Smash Bros. in Dec. makes my holiday family time go bye bye.

New Mario "bee suit" seems like it could be awesome as well. Can't wait to pollinate.

I said I wasn't expecting much, but pretty great confrence. ^_^
Mario Kart Wii is definitely exciting, no doubt about that. Especially when it's online. The WiiWheel is pretty nice, too. Plus the WiiZapper, that's pretty awesome too. The thing is shaped pretty much like a WWII weapon. For MP3: Corruption, nice to see a girl gamer demonstrating the controls.
As for WiiFit, this should be great for the non-gaming crowd. Especially for women. I enjoyed seeing the Soccer WiiFit game. Good exercise. ^_^
For myself: Super Mario Galaxy, Brawl, Soul Calibur Legends, as well as the other upcoming DS and Wii games that will be coming to the U.S. this year and beyond are well worth looking forward to. ^_^

This conference really didn't step up much for Nintendo. Had some cool things, but nothing blew my mind. Makes me think I'll wait for a Wii a bit longer after price drops on games and more games get announced for it.
Cool things though: Mario Kart Wii, Wii Zapper, and Wii Fit.
I missed the DS stuff. >< My net was going up and down all morning.

I have no idea why, but Nintendo left some announcements out of their press conference... Mario Party's coming to DS, Forever Blue is hitting the States as Endless Ocean, Fire Emblem Wii is still planned for the US, and Nintendo is making a DS crossword game.
I'm working on getting stories about these games up on RN, but right now Nintendo's press site is having some problems. As soon as I can get the info, though, I'll post it.

Metroid Prime will probably be something I'll buy. I haven't finished either of the first two (something I really should do, I've had the second game since launch), but Twilight Princess brought back my love for adventure games. Mario Kart and Smash Bros are also guaranteed buys for me. And somewhere down the road I'll probably end up buying Mario Galaxy.
So yeah, I only started looking up the announcements, but it's all good to me.

New Mario "bee suit" seems like it could be awesome as well. Can't wait to pollinate. Wait, WHAT? Mario wears a bumblebee costume? LOL! Oh, man... that's gonna be about the funniest moment in gaming history! Well, at least until Microsoft rips off Nintendo and makes Master Chief wear a chicken costume. (Actually, Chief in a chicken suit sounds like it might be funnier.) Nintendo's doing a bunch of stuff this year--a lot of it good, some of it undeniably awesome, others a little weird, and some I just don't get. (Wii Fit? Oooooooooooookay.) But seriously.... Mario Galaxy. Metroid Prime 3. Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Mario Kart Wii. Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games. NiGHTS Journey to Dreams. Guitar Hero III. Boy, am I glad I just got a higher-paying job--now I can actually get enough money to reserve those games!

It didn't show anything new that was worthwhile and it didn't do much for the games already announced like a year ago. However, I'd say the only highlight that got me excited was Mario Kart Wii.

You might not understand Wii Fit, but I guarantee its going to sell a billion copies assuming its not over 60 dollars (rumor is its more b/c of the mat)

Yourself Fitness for the Xbox sold a lot of copies, and that didn't have a mat. The Wii has some good looking games for the system, but it has too many casual games to make it worth it for a more hardcore gamer that sits through an entire game. Not one that just picks up and play, granted I like those types of games too, but I don't see too many games for the Wii making it the hardcore gamer's console of choice.
