I almost have enough money to buy one, but I don't know whter to buy one! I know the advantages of them, but is it really worth another £100 to get something with a few more features? But that oh so sexeh look Help me!

I wouldn't right now. Wait til something happens to your regular DS first. That's what I'm doing.

It looks neat, but nah, don't get it if your original DS is perfectly fine.

Well, I have the DS Lite and I must say that if you ever play in the sunlight that it is definately worth the extra money. One peeve I had with the original was that the backlit screen wasn't bright enough to be played in some conditions outside (ie sunny) but the DS Lite's screen is AWESOME. If you are just looking for the extra brightness and aesthetic improvements, I would just keep your old DS until it either breaks or the DSL drops in price.

I don't see a point in spending extra money on a system that you already have. I'm planning on buying a Wii, PS3 and Xbox 360 within the next year (Wii at launch). Spending money on the Lite isn't practical if you're a multi-console gamer, but it's a great deal for anyone without a DS.

I love that freaking screen! I could light up a dark building with that sucker!! Which means it's also good for double-usage as a flashlight when you get lost in a dark building. But the bad news is, I've already completed all the DS games I have... So I'm stuck playing AC at least once per day. Well, that and trying to collect all the Star Coins in NSMB and get all Star Rankings in Mario Kart.

Yeah, but selling the DS at the moment would be a rip-off. People aren't going to buy a used DS for much, therefore it's not going to find the Lite purchase that much.
I have a DS, and it's fine. If it ever breaks or something, I'll consider getting a DS lite. But for now, I'm happy with it.

I've recently been at Hong Kong and reading a magazine, it said that there is going to be a new DS version released at the end of 2007. (Asia just had a gaming expo recently) That may be the Japan release but I figured that most gaming systems are released at the same time now due to the advances in transportation. This new DS, by the looks of the picture, does not seem to look like a flip console. The coloring looks like an snes, and the two screens seem to take up a larger portion of the console. Yet, the device seems to be harder to fit in your pocket. (i still think the ds lite looks better)
once I unpack my stuff I'll upload a picture
