i think that pokemon should come to an end and stop the games. With the popularity of the franchise still going strong in Japan and the U.S., I seriously doubt that would happen. And why kill off a popular franchise that's still doing successfully regardless of whether people love it or hate it?
The tidbits for Pokemon D/P are exciting to hear.

The tidbits for Pokemon D/P are exciting to hear. While I'm not a big fan of Poke'mon, I don't want to see the handheld RPGs die off. They are still pretty amusing to play and I like RPGs. Poke'mon saves me those long car rides, and they do't really require a strategy guide to play through the game, unless you are trying to get them all.

The reason you can't copy/paste stuff is because it's to help cut down on the website thieves.. people copying news/info word-for-word. And Serebii.net is the #1 most reliable Pokemon news website out there. Then stay the f*ck out of the thread. I'm getting really sick of people posting in threads if they don't like a particular game. It's spam, and I'm getting quite sick of it.

Well I like the pokemon games like silver and and gold. I was very dissapointed when they made saphire and ruby. Fire Red and Leaf Green were not so bad. I still enjoy playing these games and i look foward to playing diamond and pearl.

I, too, don't wan't to see handheld RPG's die off, either. They have a place in handhelds just as consoles(2D or 3D). ^_^ And yes, they are also great timekillers for those long rides, long lines, etc. as puzzle games.

It's not really abusive as much as just stupid.

Indeed. I can't wait for Pearl/Diamond, I'm planning to get one, and also Mysterious Dungeon/Ranger, haven't decided yet.
Serebii's a great site to get news from. I went to a game shop the other day, and there was nothing about Pearl & Diamond on the shelves. I asked about Ranger, which wasn't in their computer. But MD was out.
Back to Pearl and Diamond, sounds great. There's a new region, right?
Also, agree with the pokémon RPG's having a place in handheld history.

Thanks for the welcome! Well, according to Serebii, the region for Ranger is called Fiore, and I'm guessing the same one is used in MD. Perhaps Fiore will be the region used in Pearl and Diamond, because they tend to stick with one for a few games.

To tell the truth, I had lost interest in Pokemon for a really long time just because each game was just more of the same, with different names. BUT, these new Pokemon games look like they'll revive my love for the little buggers.
