I remember playing the original Yoshi's Island the day it was released. Now I've got this game sitting in my DS and it's looking really solid so far. I'll have to keep you posting up until the review is up and even beyond. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I've played every single Final Fantasy game to come out in America and so I'm very happy this one has finally made it here. Now of course it isn't just a simple port which is music to my ears. I've played it for a little over six hours now and it's great. I'll be posting more on this and Yoshi's Island shortly.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The main point of this thread is for everyone to ask me anything they want to about both of these games. I'm trying to get everyone involved with our site that reads the site. Ask all the questions you want about both of these games and I'll be sure to answer them as soon as I can.

My friend's interested in getting Yoshi's Island DS once she gets her own DS. Can you shed a little more info, and I'll pass it on to her?

I'm playing FFIII right now, too. It is currently one of my favorites in the series now, between Fantasies XII and X. That's how awesome it is. It plays like the original NES FF, but has the gameplay of Final Fantasy V, plus having "Fellow Fighters" with you who can help you in battle at random. Its graphics easily defeat any of the PlayStation Final Fantasies, even VIII. Instead of walking around in a "fixed-camera painting" environment, you get to walk in a fully 3D world, complete with a few camera controls. The music, a sweeping score by Mr. Uematsu himself, also adds to the killer awesomeness. Plus, Ingus is awesome! I highly recommend this Final Fantasy to all DS owners. It's the only FF released on the handheld so far, and says good things about Squenix's handheld future. (Revenant Wings, I'm lookin' at you.)

Final Fantasy III is awesome. Brings back memories of older Final Fantasy titles. I've only played a litte bit of the original FF II (JPN), but I can still tell there were differences in the way the characters meet and the story, even though I can't read Japanese symbols.

On top of those...
Puyo Pop Fever is the bomb.
Imagine Puyo Pop, but with a more cartoony art style, a more peppy attitude and a new mode thrown in to give it the Fever tagline. AWESOME if you love pep rallies, or energetic games.

Yeah, I’m getting Yoshi’s Island DS pretty soon. Hooray!
And I just got Final Fantasy III. The Warriors of Light have been blessed by the Light, and they have just helped remove Djinn from around the area. It’s actually a fun game, you can use just the stylus, and/or control pad and buttons, as well.
Symphonic, I’ve seen video of that Puyo Pop Fever game, and it looks quite entertaining for sure. It sounded and looked great, when players achieved a “Fever”, I think 5 removals in a row.
Yeah, hooray for DS gaming!

Dude, the DS is turning into a menace for its "competitor" the PSP. While Sony's still struggling for handheld dominance, the DS is giving gamers what they want (Castlevania, Final Fantasy, Zelda), and giving non-gamers something to play (Brain Age, Tetris, Nintendogs).

Yeah, for sure. It was outselling consoles at one point, I think. Also, when games come out for the Wii, that are compatible with the DS, look forward to more gaming goodness!
And although, not Touch-Compatible, it plays GameBoy Advance games as well!
