Well the DS has been going strong along with the intro of the DS Lite so what do you think is going to happen with the DS world? Do you think it will eventually fade out slowly like the GBA or keep on going strong. for example the Gameboy went from 1989 to 2000 the GBA from 2000 to 2006 and the DS from 2004 -------? I personally see a long life as a DS Gamer.

I think the DS will have a good life time. I do not think it would really fade away so quickly, and even then, given the popularity, I'm sure that even after a new system is introduced, games will still be made for it.

Yeah I agree with you there Waffle. expecilly if there is backwards compatability like how they let the DS play GBA games.

I doubt that the DS will be going anywhere any time soon. The system is still a top seller and there's a ton of big name games coming out (Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, Dragon Quest IX, etc.). I'd give the system a couple more years before its successor is announced.

Sonic Rush Adventure, Ninja Gaiden Dragon Scrolls, Dragon Quest IX, Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, even Guitar Hero III is coming to DS. I'd say the DS has become the Crown Prince of Handheld Gaming.
