Welcome to the new Random Nintendo Forums! As I'm sure you've noticed, the forums have gone through a giant make-over. New look, new features, ProBoards v4 support... We've got it all.
Before I get to what's new, I'd like to discuss our recent downtime. Since late May, the RN Forums have been closed. This, unfortunately, was due to some problems that our forum image host was having. On behalf of the entire RN staff and moderators, I would like to apologize for the downtime. It's been more of a pain for us than you could ever imagine. However, now that the image host is working again, we hope that you start to once again become active in the RN Community.
Now, let's move onto what's new. As you must have noticed, the forums are now running on the latest ProBoards software: ProBoards v4. We also have a brand-new look for the forums that matches the site. Plus, some codes have been added to make the forums even better.
There have also been some changes made to help make the forums easier to navigate. The Gaming category now features five boards: General Gaming, the new Revolution board, the GameCube board, the DS board, and the Game Boy board. If you need gameplay help, you should post it on the appropriate system's board (ex: Wind Waker help on the GCN board). If you want to talk about non-Nintendo systems, past Nintendo systems, or gaming in general, that belongs on the General Gaming board.
Another change is the renaming of a handful of boards. The General Board is now known as the Off-Topic Discussion board. Also, the Random Nintendo category's boards have been renamed to help clear up what they are for.
