I rented Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles a few days ago. I didn't want to buy the game, in fear that it may be a waste of $50. Anyways, I started single player mode, considering I only had one GCN-GBA link cable. I bought another GCN-GBA link cable today so me and my brother could play multi-player. Therefore, here is I disagreeumption of multi-player mode:
(I am kinda comparing this to LION's review of FF:CC Multi-Player)
First of all, there must be a problem with second and third party GCN-GBA cables, since using Nintendo's official cable, the loading time for me screens did not take up to three minutes. Buy the official cables.
Using the GBA as a controller, I agree with most, was a dumb idea. Why not just use regular controllers and let each player have their own menu in each corner of the screen? As for the crystal chalice, carrying it doesn't bother me. The designers made you carry it in multi-player so the characters wouldn't go frolic in random areas, leaving the person who wants to achieve their goal, walking around to go find the froliccing player.
Stealing items from other players doesn't seem like an issue to me. Why don't you just let one person get it, instead of having people steal it, then having them scroll through their menu and drop the item, so they can give it to another player?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tips to enjoy multi-player:
1. Buy the official GCN-GBA link cables.
2. Play fair, and don't try to steal items.
3. Just have fun, and don't worry about who holds the chalice. Take turns.
This concludes my review.
