Hey there! Recently Nintendo sent me two advance copies of Animal Crossing: Wild World. These are my impressions after a few hours of gameplay.
Since this is just my impressions, this is going to be rather informal and just me telling you how awesome AC:WW is. Wild World is basically Animal Crossing on steroids. This game rules. Picture Animal Crossing with a million upgrades. For one, it's on the DS. The graphics are practically unchanged and the entire world is now flowing. No waiting for each 'square' to load. Also, Wild World is Wi-Fi compatable, meaning you can play with friends, and only friends.
I've been playing this game for about an hour now, so I'm not that 'in' to it, but so far i've discovered: Medicine (I have NO idea what it does) Insurance (once again, no idea) Message in a Bottle (random message sending) PTM (you'll see)
I've yet to discover lots of stuff, and this game is sure to be as addicting as the Gamecube version.
Check back later for my FULL review.

I'll be sure to. Then I'll get the game (since I loved the first one on Cube) and write my own review. Also, a word of advice: If you still have the Gamecube version, YOU MAY WANT TO KEEP IT. Don't sell it to fund your Wild World purchase. Why? WW doesn't have the NES games. Everything else is here, though.

Congrats on getting two early copies, Tww10. It's nice to hear that the game is basically a beefed up, fancier version of the GameCube version. But how's the stylus-based control in Wild World? Does it work well?

Does it work well? Controlling your character is all a matter of preference. Neither is worse, but I go with analog. I'm old fashion and I just think it's easier to go where I want. Besides controlling the character, the menu's are very easy to use with the stylus, and some functions are better done with the stylus as they take a litttle bit of time with the control pad. Also (of course) patterns can be made via stylus and today I bought a pair of aviators for my character. As of right now, Nintendo has yet to get the WFC up, since there's only a few people with the game (45...I think ). But I have used DS to DS and it's really fun. Going to a friends town and stealing their fruit and leaving letters is rad. The text function is much easier with the stylus and typing can be somewhat cumbersome.

That's a little strange considering the fact that Wild World ships to stores tomorrow.

Well it got up yesterday, and I guess it was up the day before that too. I was trying to connect with TSA and it just wouldn't let me.
Also, today I came across a slingshot. No, sadly it's not used to shoot other animals, but rather to shoot down baloon-presents on the top screen.

Do the presents that you can shoot down contain rare items?

Ooh, slingshot! Does this mean I can shoot at the townspeople? ;D

Well, I picked up my copy of Wild World today... And it's awesome. It feels a lot like the GCN version, but there are all types of new features. I really like how the world spins when you walk, as well as some of the new things that the villagers do (talk to each other, have obsessions, etc.). As for the controls, I tend to switch off between the buttons and touch screen. Ooh, slingshot! Does this mean I can shoot at the townspeople? ;D Keep dreaming.

Yeah... If you could, that'd bring AC too close to the GTA brand. Tch. As for when I'm going to get it, I'll wait until after New Years'. Tell me if it's any good.

I saw one on the first day that I got the game and I was running around going beserk because I had NO idea what to do to get it.
