I love the Half-Life series, but im not going to be bias. First off, ill give the pros, then ill give the cons.
The pros of HL2 are that the game is one hell of a deal, I mean that you can go to Wal-mart and buy the game for like $30, and it comes with Counter-strike, CS-source, and the previous HL games! Also, the graphics are awe-striking, the shadows, lighting, water-detail, and textures. The facial expressions are the best ive ever seen also, and the game looks awesome just at 800x600, but I set it too 1024x768, and it rocked my world! The story is so well writen and voice acting is awesome too.
Now for the cons. The main con for HL2 is Steam, Steam is a source code hacker proof software that Valve made right before the release of HL2. It is annoying cause it takes 45 min. to validate your copy of HL2 the first time you buy it, which is rediculous! Another con of HL2 is that it took like 7 years to make, which is pretty damn long! Other then those two cons. HL2 is a perfect game!
