I have downloaded not that long ago the PC version of Just Cause, and i wanted to do a review on it for those who might consider or just want to know more about the game.
Graphics
The graphics in the game cannot be placed into words that dont use an entire paragraph, so let me sum it up for y'all, THE ARE OUT OF THIS WORLD AMAZING!!! The graphics and ambiance of the game are something that i have never seen before. The game looks amazing on my PC, in low settings, literally! I had to set the res. down to 800x600 just to stop the frequent studering of the frame rate, which was at 5 fps when the default video settings were enabled, so i set everything to low, and my fps's shot up immediatly. The water looked real, the trees were by the dozens, and not harmed by the settings, the lighting took a hit alittle, but didnt suffer.
Gameplay
The most important part of the game! The gameplay was solid, although the demo left alot to be said (was very short, but delivered the message). The map was massive, just as promised by Avalanche, and if you download the demo, you can actually see the 250k acres of land that the promised, but unfortunatly, they cannot fit 250,000 acres of land in a demo that is 527mb large, but didnt slack, like alot of people do in a demo, on features. The land that was explorable was vast and populated with jungles, rivers, villages, cities, cars, motercycles, boats, planes, helicopters, and many people to fill these things. The physics are very smooth and fluid. The stunts are amazing, with much to do with just that. You can jump onto the roof of the car that you are currently driving, and deploy your parachute, just because you can, or because you want to make an awesome enty to an enemy filled area by slamming the vehicle into a gas barrel, pump, or massive tank, or because your car is on fire. You can freefall onto cars, into water, and plane hop, and most of the time, the game encourages it!
The demo was very promising overall, i am am going to pre-order it soon.
I have a map that i got from the demo, which will give you a basic perspective of the map size, and the size of the demo
