This is my first Nintendo-related fanfic, and I hope you guys like it as well.
Planet Aether; 0837 hours
“Whew!” said Samus, as she hopped into her Gunship, after successfully completing her mission on Aether of making sure the Light fraction of the planet. “I’m beat!” She’s had a long mission, defeating Dark Samus, the Space Pirates and Dark Aether, all without the least bit of sleep. “I think it’s time I finally took a catnap. I’m surprised I could actually get through my mission without any sleep.” And so, she set the ship on automatic control, flying just straight and doing any necessary maneuvers. And shortly after, Samus took off her Varia Suit, got into some more “proper” sleep clothes, and went to bed. Rest up, dear Samus; you’ll need that newfound energy in just a couple of hours…
*BOOM!* A meteor struck the Gunship, and knocked it off of its course. And the blow also woke up Samus. “Huh, err, what?” She asked. *BOOM!* There it was again! She immediately hopped into her Power Suit (since to her she didn’t think she’d need an overly powerful suit to get this job done) and hurriedly went from her lodging quarters to the bridge. “Okay now, what seems to be the problem with this scene?” Samus thought aloud to herself, wanting to solve this problem and find out who, or what, rudely awakened her during her sleep. “From what I see right now, there doesn’t seem to be much I can see normally, but just in case, let’s initiate a scan.” And so she activated her scan visor and ran a scan of her surroundings. “Nothing here…. Still nothing…. What’s this?” She noticed an icon on the right corner of her visor, so she quickly looked toward it, locked on and got a scan. The scan read:
“Okay, so once I get a clear weak point on this guy he’s a cake-walk? Well now, that sounds easy enough from my point of view. Let’s take this thing out, right her, right now. First off, I’ll switch the ship from Automatic control to Manual. Just a few adjustments…… and done. Now then, let’s make a few swift maneuvers. I don’t know if I should really use the ship itself to get rid of this thing, but it shouldn’t be too hard.”
Mere seconds after Samus said this, the creature tore out of the asteroid, revealing that it was about 5 times the size of what it originally was. “Now I think I know what the scanner meant when it said getting a good lock on this creature wouldn’t be easy, and now it looks a lot tougher due to its bigger size.” And so the battle begins.
Samus mindlessly fired missile after missile from the gunship to the Asteroloomer, but proved unsuccessful each time. It would hurl asteroids at Samus, but fortunately for her she could get the ship moving quickly. For now, all she could do was endlessly fly in circles around and around the creature. After a few circles, she noticed an abnormal swelling point near the tail of the creature. “Interesting,” she thought, and quickly moved from her Combat Visor to Scanner, and to her surprise, she found a good weak-point to use to her advantage. “Score for me!” she yelled in excitement, and then noticed a final note: “Electrical attacks are the only attacks that will prove useful.” “Alright, that means I should switch to the Wave Gun on the ship. Just a few moments….. And presto! I now have my own offensive!”
And so, with this, she spent about fifteen minutes circling and shooting the swollen spot with Wave shots and in that amount of time the monster was destroyed. “Finally,” Samus said in relief. “Got him. And I really got him good.” But in a few moments a window popped up on her visor, reading, “Incoming Scan Information.” Just what could it be…?
And thus ends Chapter One. Chapter Two is on the way, but for now, please tell me what you think. ^.^
