Triforce of Mascots: Chapter One by Symph

Yeah, after seeing my Metroid fanfic on RN (with plenty of suprise to myself ), I guess I'm sort of good at it. I'll start a new series, starring various company mascots!

Mushroom Kingdom

"Mama mia!" blurted Mario as he was resting outside is tiny cottage on the outskirts of Mushroom Kingdom. "I've had a rough day!"
He really had a hard day; those darn toads, they can't manage their plumbing systems very well these days. Mario and Luigi have made the most house calls in the last couple of days than in other weeks; they believe they had the same amount of calls in a month alone! While they couldn't be happier with the sudden rise in profits, the Mario brothers don't get much down time. Really sad, to them; they just bought a Yoshi hatchling from the pet store, light blue, rosy cheeks, sweet personality, she's definitely a people Yoshi! Mario and Luigi spend most of their free time with her, since she's very lonely, and still just a baby; it's been hard for her to be home alone, not being able to do what you've got to do. I bet you're saying it's the nicest thing in the world to be left alone in the house for a day; well, you try staying home with little food that you can reach and having not yet been potty-trained!
Anyway, Mario and his Yoshi pal were practing the ever-popular Yoshi-Riding activity that numerous Toads across the kingdom have been growing fond of. She's been faring pretty well at it, too, which Mario and Luigi are proud of. "Okie-dokie Yoshi, this is gonna be a smooth ride; Let's-a-go!" Shouted Mario, and off the Yoshi went. Slowly but steadily, the Yoshi trotted around the newly-built stable for her to play in, Luigi enjoying both the Yoshi-show and a nice cold glass of Kero-Kero Cola. The Yoshi jogged the course with such grace, and smoothly finished, and Mario was one to be pleased with her training. "Excellent job, Yoshi!" he praised, and Yoshi grinned. Mario then fed her two Yoshi cookies; those his Yoshi would do anything to get her hands on them, and is the main reason, only second to the fact that she's treated like a rockstar from the Bros. Mario, is what motivates her to give Mario a nice vehicle to ride when chasing Bowser or any other baddie. But, suddenly, an oddly-shaped cloud appeared in the sky, and caught Mario's attention.

While Mario and Luigi are enjoying some downtime....

Sonic and friends dashed through the breezy forest in search of Eggman.
"Man, he's gotta be hear somewhere!" said Sonic.
"Well he can't be on the same path as us, Sonic!" said Tails. "You know he isn't that stupid. Ever since we've gotten a trail on him he's been trying to cut us off to make sure we couldn't catch him!"
"Uhh, yeah. But splitting up now isn't safe! These forests have some pretty vicious creatures, and I don't want you or Cream getting hurt!"
"Right."
So Sonic, Tails, Cream, Amy and Knuckles were racing along a dirt path in a forest, looking for Eggman. Sonic and company have wanted to lay their fists into Eggman's face for years, but they knew they weren't the only ones; ever since Shadow realized the wonder of guns, he's been trying to get a hold of Eggman for a good while now, and pump some lead into that 300 point- IQ head of his. Sonic wouldn't allow Shadow to exterminate Eggman - well, at least when Sonic wasn't involved. So, anyhow, their running continued for the next 30 minutes.
"Drats!" yelled Sonic. "We still can't find him!"
"Please, Sonic," squeaked Cream, "give yourself time. You'll eventually find Eggman, and Tails, Knuckles, Amy and I are gonna help you!"
"Don't worry, Cream," added Sonic. "we'll catch him. I just need to get him before Shadow does."

And then a weird cloud appeared in the sky, shaped similarly to the one that appeared in the Mushroom Kingdom a universe away.

While that catches Sonic's attention...

Out over, umm, wherever Ubisoft's limbless hero exists...

Rayman, Globox, Ly, Clark and Murfy are all enjoying a nice day over in the Woods of Light, where Ly dwells. Each one has had a good bit of trouble with both Razorbeard and the recent HoodLum incident, and are ready to rest and enjoy themselves. They begin with a platforming race across from the woods of light entrance to the entrance to the Hall of Doors. The race will be widely considered an endurance test of sorts, since the length is very far. The Teensies would act as as starting and finish line markers.
"Go!" shouted a Teensie, and off the Rayman crew went. Rayman showed no signs of losing first place after gaining it fairly shortly after passing Ly, who gained the leading position at the race's opening. Globox trailed behind Clark, who was fourth to begin with, with Murfy just ahead of them, picking up speed and trailing Ly by nearly six seconds.
It was a war of sorts for Rayman and Ly for the first-place position; each one kept unleashing attacks on one another to either gain a position or keep the title they had; they eventually were neck and neck, but Rayman threw his feet forward and then, for sure, sealed the deal on who'd win this race. But, as before, a mysterious cloud appeared in the sky.

Why'd it keep appearing? What happened to the characters that saw it, and their friends?

Well, Mario, Sonic and Rayman, the three who noticed the cloud in the sky, were all transported to a sky temple, in the center universe of video game characters, one that keeps track of every universe out there. Mario, Sonic and Rayman didn't know they'd have to team up and utilize their special abilities to overcome this next threat. And their friends? They, having being accompanied by the character that witnessed the cloud, were also transported to the same temple in the sky; only they were in the lowest floor in the temple, completely sealed and filled with a giant computer system that amazingly updated itself regularly with the latest software. This floor is a complete room, which means Luigi, Yoshi, Tails, Cream, Knuckles, Amy, Ly, Globox, Clark, Murfy and the Teensies will be cramped in this computer room until the 'Triforce of Mascots' can crack the floor's code and get them out. Why are they there? Well, a secret force is being developed, and these three are the next heroes that will be triumphant in the upcoming battle....

No problem! I didn't mind... and I was sort of suprised. I've gotta make Chapter 3 for that story....

Anyway, I'll go ahead and post Chapter 2: Introduction of the Triforce...

Mario simply stood frozen on the floor; he didn't think the cloud would drag him here! And he couldn't remember how he got there; he just gazed at the cloud, and the next second he was in an odd swirly vortex with nothing but him, endlessly falling, falling.... "Mama Mia!" he said, worried what might happen next; what if he looked at a bizarre stone and was transported to the mountain where it used to be? What if he looked at an ice cream cone and was pulled through space to the snow field from where it came? Mario told himself he'd never stare at anything again...
But he knew he couldn't stand there forever. He had to get started somewhere, to get out of this floating temple. So off he went, walking along a worn temple path, to see if there was any route in the temple where he could try and escape and make it back to Luigi and Yoshi; little did he know, the two were in the basement level of the temple, sealed inside and unable to see the outside world, with other random characters.

Meanwhile....

Sonic was, like Mario, stunned. He, also like Mario, didn't think the cloud would pull him over here! Well, true, the cloud was oddly shaped and slightly discolored, but that couldn't have been so bad! But then he started dashing around the East section of the ground floor temple, trying to get somewhere. He wasn't making any progress having been running in circles, but your mind does things to you when you run that fast and, due to blurs, everything looks the same. Little did he know, the other mascot is walking around the temple for the same reasons as Mario: to find a way out. And he isn't too pleased with what he sees....

Rayman began at the North side of this temple, and quickly chose to find his friends. He didn't know what could happen to them, so better safe than sorry to try early and not just stand there, unlike two certain mascots... So when he got to the East section, he saw a blue blur pass by, and he was stunned; he knew for sure his eyes weren't playing tricks. He was there, he raced by, and Rayman watched. He walked through the hall, when the blur came back and smacked Rayman. Both fell to the floor, Sonic hot-tempered and angry.
"Why were you there?!" he screamed.
"Well, umm, I was just walking when you kind of slammed into me."
"That didn't answer the question properly." said Sonic, in a smart-allecky tone, inpatient with his acts.
"Look, I'm just sorry I got in your way, okay?" replied Rayman. "I'm just trying to get back to my friends."
"So am I! And I bet I could beat you in a fight.... wanna go a round?"
"I'd rather not fight you, mister...."
"Chicken!"
"Alright, fine! Let's go!"

And so the two fought. Sonic used his speed to catch Rayman, but Rayman just dispersed his limbs over the temple halls to dodge Sonic's attacks, then used his Power shots to slow him down. Rayman had the fight in the bag. And yet it was the racket that was made that led Mario to believe (quite creepily, I might add) that he was not alone. Same with the band of sidekicks in the bottom-most floor. So Mario ran to the scene, breaking up the fight; not quite so easily. Sonic simply pushed him aside and dove for Rayman; Rayman repeated his simple tactics, sometimes varying his timing to keep it fresh for both him and Sonic. When Sonic was dashing, he tripped over a pebble, but this pebble wasn't ordinary; it opened a hole in the door, where the door held special headsets. These headsets were linked to the computer room, where Luigi and co. were trying to get a connection. More on their situation in Chapter 3. So Mario, Sonic and Rayman had a long talk, and chose to band together for the time being; after they hitched a ride, they disbanded. And from here, they will be known as the Triforce of.... Mascots!

Thanks for the support. I'll start Chapter 3: A Big Fat Meanwhile...

So Mario, Rayman and Sonic have, as previously stated, joined forces. But what about their friends? In this Chapter, we'll check on them, so your questions will be answered.

One big room. Fourteen strangers. One big computer system. What might that add, multiply, subtract or divide to, you may ask? Well, it adds up to the only way of communication between the subordinates and the chief world-savers. While the main heroes were busy in a fight, this group was busy getting acquainted and used to each other (they figured out, the hard way, that the exits were sealed and there was no way out), and Tails was getting accustomed to the supercomputer in front of him; he was a mastermind at this stuff. He could learn the ropes of just about any computer on the market. So after getting the main programs running, he somehow managed to get a three-dimensional map of the temple up on the main screen (there were three monitors operational in the room; the main screen was the largest that everyone was crowded at) and ran a heat scan throughout the area; within minutes he could get a lock on the three out of their reach, and also found the headsets under the floor. Thanks to their fighting, Sonic opened the floor up and revealed the sets for each to use. Thank the good heavens! They're able to communicate now! So now that the three decide to take them, Tails opens a communication signal to the three. "Sonic... Sonic! Come in Sonic!" said the muffled headset, which had Tails as the tips and tricks manager throughout the mission, with Luigi helping out with calling the shots.
"We can hear you there.... wait. Tails? You're here? Where are you?" Sonic couldn't quit asking questions.
"Sonic, yes! I'm here! Don't get all jumpy. Knuckles, Amy, Cream and I are all down here, along with some new friends of ours. By the way, 'down here' is the lowest floor of this temple. Don't get all upbeat saving us, though; we're locked in, the only way to get us out is by way of unlocking this weird code. Anyway, this temple is, while mostly uninhabited, serves as a home to a sweet crystal energy source; it's at the top level of the temple, getting it could prove useful to you. Apparently, readings also indicate the existence of a two seat biplane on the premisis. Maybe that could get you out of here."
"But what about you? You'll be left in the temple, you know."
"Don't worry! This signal has unlimited range, I'll be able to feed you information throughout this quest. But I tell you, when outside the temple walls, it's a dangerous, dangerous world out there."
"How's that so?"
"I'll let you find out. Anyway, this headset also has a cool visor eyepiece that allows me to send you some superb stuff. I'll upload a map for you, Mario and Rayman's use."
"Could you, umm, set up the quickest path to the temple in this map, particularly highlighted?" asked Rayman; he knew they'd need more help than just a map.
"One's already on, Rayman. And the path to the biplane as well, just in case the jewel powers it. Anyway, the map should be up, so I'll sign off for now. Good luck on this mission, and may luck be on your side. Tails, over and out." And at that he closed communication.
"Maybe I should give Rayman the Silver Lum for flight," thought Ly aloud. "Can I send it to him, Tails?"
"Fine by me." he replied.
And so Ly sent it. Rayman wondered why, but then he noticed the near endless staircase they came across after a lot of walking and mazes to find it. So he ascended, and Mario grabbed his shoes. Sonic too.
"Umm..." said Rayman.
"Yeah?" said both Mario and Sonic.
"I hope you realize, my feet aren't attached to my body and can't hold much weight."
"Seriously?" Mario gasped. Sonic had to gulp.
"WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" both were now falling and falling, since the feet of Rayman were too light to hold them up.
"Hold on!" screamed Rayman, flying downward to grab his shoes. He grasped his own feet, with Mario and Sonic. His arms WERE able to hold him, thankfully. So for a few more minutes they reached the top floor.
"Woah!" said Tails. "There's an amazing level of activity going on in the room where the crystal is! And it seems to be confirmed a harmful lifeform. I better inform Sonic... huh?" He asked as he noticed the screen:

COMMUNICATION IMPOSSIBLE IN THIS AREA

"So.... the room's activity is preventing us from warning them? DARN IT!!!!"

Now what that creature (or creatures) is, you must find out in Chapter 4.

Heh, thanks. Let's hope this get's on RN, yet that won't stop me from finishing it.

Chapter 5: OH NOEZ! THE COOL FIGHT!

"Well... here's the place. Where this super energy is currently residing." said Sonic, tired and a little startled after the aforementioned near death after holding onto Rayman's feet, only to have them fall due to heavy luggage; Darn that pasta, thought Mario during that event. Anyway, the three tried getting the door open; not much luck with that. So, they looked for a switch around the platform.
To help, Tails ran a check for any unusual items in the platform; he indeed found a key under the floor. "Check for a hidden lid in the floor, guys." he told them. And so they did, and they found the key, and looked for a hole. One was found, and they put it in and turned it. The door slowly pulled itself open, and the trio walked in.
Odd, the so-called 'life form' was absent from the scene. At least, to the protagonists' eyes. They saw the energy source; a Ruby Sphere, with several sparks and beams around it. "This'll be a piece o--"
Before Sonic could finish his sentence, a giant worm came in from a wall. He smashed it up pretty well, too.

"OMG!" blurted Cream, everyone's mouth gaping wiiiide open at the picture being streamed through the computer. "It's an Ohmu from Nausicaa!"

They couldn't believe their eyes; a massive creature known as an Ohmu (Pronounced "Ohm") would be the guardian of the temple. Nausicaa wasn't even a game! Just an anime produced by Hayao Miyazaki in the mid 1980's! Yet somehow this creature was able to stumble into a gaming planet. Hmm. Anyway, it's eyes were bloody red; that was bad. It meant it was angry, blind with rage. It literally didn't care what happened when this was in affect. It charged at the trio.

"Spread out, let's get rid of this thing!" commanded Mario. And so they did. Sonic of course dashed out of harm's way, Mario could jump over it, and Rayman barely missed the deadly charge. He then slowly side-stepped away, and occasionally shot fist balls at the giant beast. What else could he do? Unlike the potly plumber or blue blur, the limbless hero wasn't adapted to battle this thing. It simply charged again. No luck this time, as before.

"Guys! *krrrch* Guys!" said a muffled Tails voice. "The Oh*krrch* is vulnerabe to *krrch*sts! Blasts! Hit h*krrch*m in the rear while he's off *krrch* guard!"

The rear. Technically, the fight was unwinnable; they had to calm it down, but seeing as though they didn't have the proper tools to calm it down, like Nausicaa did in the film, they had to kill it. Sonic had a nice idea. "How 'bout I get in a spin and then speed into it and blow a hole through a vital organ? I'll get dirty, but getting rid of this nuisance is worth it" said the hedgehog to his allies. "That might *kr*rk, *kr*nic! Try and *krrch kr kr beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep*"
"Darn! We lost the signal! Oh well, I have to try my method." So Sonic spun into the Ohmu. To his surprise, he penetrated the Ohmu's massively solid shell! It fell with a scream, but it was dead.

And so the heroes grabbed the power supply, and left the room, where the communications were clear. As it turns out, the IT team in the bottom floor found a set of bombs available for them to throw and detonate at the Ohmu, calming it and without death being vital for survival. But hey, the source of energy for the bi-plane was available, and that was what they needed. They set off for the plane, found it, and set it up via Tails' instructions. Then, Rayman took the wheel (he aced Tails' pilot test, he apparently knew the ups and downs of flight) and they were off. More on this in Chapter 5.

Thus ends the Chapter.

It would be kinda dumb to have one chapter on RN and not the others; it just leaves you hanging. Anyway, here's the next Chapter.

Chapter 5: Airborne

Ohmu. One of the most feared creatures in all of, well, wherever Nausicaa's universe is ( ), yet it's a very gentle creature that, if not angered, wouldn't hurt a fly. Yet it was angered (Why it was is unknown), and forced Sonic to kill it. Now the trio had the ruby jewel in their posession, and found the biplane. After a little bit of 'Plane Surgery', Rayman was able to make the plane operational and started the engine. Mario took the backseat and Sonic stood near the tail of the plane (like he usually does), with Rayman at the Pilot's seat. Within minutes, the plane let off a burst of energy pushing them out of the temple. And they were off, with a rough take-off, but they were on their way nonetheless.
"Mama Mia, that was a little to rocky for my tastes!" muttered Mario. He wasn't accustomed to planes like Sonic, and Rayman apparently was (he got the plane to work and earned the pilot seat, how could he not be?). So the three were off. To Rayman's eyes, this plane was about two to three centuries ahead of his universe's time; everything from a microwave to a seat warmer was in the plane, running on a seemingly-unlimited battery supply; the energy from the jewel was limitless. He set up a DVD for Mario to calm him down. Ain't nothing more action packed than the original Matrix. And Mario enjoyed it, because he paid no attention to reality.
"Okay, guys, thanks to the plane we're able to get a map of the planet," said Knuckles. "There's a mid-Sky island with a big city you should visit; apparently, a character by the name of Klonoa can help you... he's fairly young, but his magic ring would be a faithful ally."
"Yet another ally... how could he fit into the plane?" asked Rayman, trying his best to multitask.
"He'll have to sit in the cargo bay, but luckily for him, provided he joins up with you, the cargo bay is convertible to be a mimic of a Coach section on an airline for two more people."
"Alright, and where might this island be?" asked Sonic.
"Set a course on your SkyGPS to Northwest; keep on that course and pay attention for a boulder field. Dodge as many as you can, and watch out for Sky Pirates. They can give you one heck of a beating."
"Roger!" replied Mario, saluting his basement team still in the temple through his streamed video system in the passenger seat.
So they flew. After a few miles, Sonic started to get worked up.
"Oh God, I need ta pee!!!!" he screamed, dancing hysterically on the top wing. He couldn't stand it and his dance was taking the plane down.
"Sonic, would you cut that out?!" yelled Rayman, desperately trying to keep the plane at it's level.
"I GOTTA GOTTA GOTTA!!!!!" Sonic couldn't stop.
"Pretend you're that urinating boy statue and just pee freely; I doubt it'll hit anything, you may just water some flowers!"
Sonic did that, but he didn't water flowers...

Here is a pirate ship; here, we find some dreadfully ugly looking pirates, and an obscured sexy babe. They were under the name 'Shady Wolves'.
"Blarrgh, why can't we find any adversaries?" said the captain, who is called "Drunkard Drew", who got his name by wolving several bottles of beer, vodka and whiskey down his throat. The results were freakish, and he was addicted to it ever since.
"Cause we destroyed 'em all, sir!" said a deckswabber.
Just then.... bright yellow liquid landed on the captain's head.
"BLARRGH!! I BEEN PEED ON!!" he yelled, and angrily threw the ship upward. Poor Sonic.... he's gonna get attacked!

Thus ends the Chapter. Chapter 6 will have the attack and the arrival of the heroes to the town, and for a freebie, it's called "Hometek Town".

Good I guess. Ummm the part though about peeing was just weird. I liked the sexy babe part too.
