Have you bought the Nintendo wii console? Whats the console and the games like have you experienced any problems? Is it living up to all the hype and worth the wait?

It's definitely living up to all the hypes. I'm currently playing LoZ: TP and it is awesome. You should read the RN review about it (by Greg). I agree with every single thing he said.
Oh, and welcome to the RN Forums.

I haven't experienced any significant problems with my Wii. The only thing that's happened is my Wii Remote randomly got un-synced, but that was easy to fix. And so far, I would say it's living up to the hype. Like KoE said, Zelda alone is awesome.
Also, welcome to the forums.

Awww. I really wasn't sure how accurate and reliable the remotes are gonna be, but it's extremely accurate and very VERY sensitive, so they weren't lying when they said "precision aiming".

I got mine day 1 and am loving it. I have played through quite a few of the launch titles (though I am still taking my time with Twilight Princess) and I am really happy with the purchase. Great system with great controls. Its even better b/c its the only system where I can get to the Wii menu straight from playing a game, play some Wii sports, go back into the menu, play Super Castlevania IV, die, and then go into the original Super Mario Bros. Awesome games and VC classics ftw!

I still don't have a Wii... It's like it's becoming more of an impossibility for me to get one.

It's a very satisfying console. Wii Sports alone could keep many games entertained for a very long time. The only problem I have with it now is the lack of any buy-worthy games for it. Games like Call of Duty 3, Rayman, Red Steel and others just aren't as good as Nintendo says. But I'm sure that later this year, when games like Metroid, Mario, Final Fantasy, etc. come out, we'll all explode from excitement.

I'm actually lucky enough to have two Nintendo Wii's. I bought myself a Japanese one and my girlfriend slept outside of a game store to get me an American Wii.

Here's something: My parents aren't too keen to support gaming, but yesterday me and my sister convinced them to play Wii Sports with us, and they were impressed. Like, REALLY impressed. My dad even said that this console was a piece of genius. So yeah, that's how good the Wii is.

It's the same with me, my neighbours came over for New Years Eve and none of hem are gamers (one of them hates games) but I just put Wii Bowling on and they all loved it. It levels the playing ground (I lost ... twice), and it's helluva fun.
I'm loving LoZ: TP.

Haha yeah my sister ended up throwing the remote like 3 times. She finally understood why the wrist strap was there. I never use the strap though. It's rather irritating for me.

I like the fabric of the wrist strap so I always put it on, but I don't wear it when people come over for a multiplayer game (only got 1 controller) because you have to keep swapping it around.
