During Konami's annual Gamer's Day event which took place today, four new titles were announced for the Wii
Dewy's Adventure Kororinpa: Marble Mania Wing Island Dance Dance Revolution: Hottest Party
The Dev Support just keeps rolling in for the Wii, and I don't suspect its going to stop anytime soon. An original platformer (Dewy's Adventure) and a title from their most popular series (DDR) is much more than I had hoped from Konami, who has had lackluster support for Nintendo in the past. These new titles in conjunction with the already released Elebits show that Konami just might be one of the main supporters of Wii with original IPs.

Kororinpa looks like the most exciting one, it's like Super Monkey Ball but you can tilt the whole level 360 degrees! It's aweosme.
Wing Island is pretty interesting, it's like an improved version of the Wii Plane demo.

I'm a big Elebits fan, so I'm really looking forward to Dewy's Adventure (it's from the same producer). The temperature-changing mechanic has a ton of potential. Kororinpa also looks good, but I'm not sure if I'll pick it up.

No MGS, no Castlevania, no interest. It's nice that the Wii is getting support, but I don't care about any of those titles. I don't care about most Wii titles, really. No More Heroes, Mario, Metroid. That's about it.

That's about it. I think you forgot about something... en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Super_Smash_Bros_BrawlAnd, if you like something fast, crazy, and a blast with friends, may I suggest Wario Ware? It's one of the most original games for the Wii yet--heck, one of the boss levels involves line-dancing. Not to mention the 9-Volt stage is saturated with the most old-school Nintendo to date (The boss level is a level from the original Starfox, with ROB as the boss). Oh well... Another Castlevania would have definitely been nice; although Igarashi had said in an interview with Nintendo Power that he did not want to waste Wii innovation on trivial novelties, like cracking the Wii remote like a whip; he believed that it was stupid. However, he did not decline from saying that it is a possibility Castlevania may end up on Wii, so long as they can figure out a way to make it work. So, I come with a suggestion: you tilt the Wiimote onto its side. Look at it... Wouldn't you say it's perfect for a 2D game? I think it's about time Konami release another 2D home console 'Vania; they haven't released one of those puppies in ten years. I think that the Wiimote would be perfect for that kind of 2D goodness.

Or I just omitted something because I think the series is overrated. Sure, Smash Bros is fun for a while, but I just don't understand why everyone loves it so much. I'll pick up Brawl eventually, but I'm not really looking forward to it. As for WarioWare, I have no interest in spending $50 on a bunch of four second minigames. I'm sure it's great and all, but that's not my thing. I want a lengthy experience when I get a game, and many of the Wii's current titles are minigame oriented. Those games are fine, they just aren't for me.

Ah, I see. Then I guess something more of Sonic and the Secret Rings, which I've read is lengthy and deep gameplay that is both original and at the same time, familiar. But then again, you're probably not into Sonic, nor have you ever been. Now that I notice, you're actually kinda picky when it comes to games.

I have no problem investing in an unknown series or a new idea, I just want to make sure it's going to be something that's worth my while. Hotel Dusk isn't my traditional kind of game, but I picked it up anyway because it looked really good. It's a great game (my review should be up sometime soon), and I'd say I got my money's worth. I think the new Sonic looks interesting, but it's definitely not a Wii seller for me. I want to hold out until black since I think that looks a lot better than the current white. I'll probably get one alongside No More Heroes.
