Electronic Arts today released the complete track list for Boogie. The game will be released for the Wii on August 31st, 2007 in Europe. This is what Steve Schnur, Worldwide Executive of Music and Marketing at EA had to say about it all:
"This is a breakthrough game with a landmark soundtrack. We’ve brought together generations of the biggest hits in pop music history for a game that takes Wii innovation to a whole new level. Boogie is truly the ultimate family fun experience."
Players will dance, sing and create music videos with this party game-a-thon that takes advantage of the innovative Wii controls. Gamers can sing their favourite tunes or dance to the latest hit songs as well as catch their best dance moves, record their own voice and make music videos with the easy-to-use music video creator.
Songs appear to not be originals, rather they are covers. The list of those on offer is as follows:
* ABC by The Jackson 5
* Baila Me by Gypsy Kings
* Boogie Oogie Oogie by Taste Of Honey
* Brick House by The Commodores
* Canned Heat by Jamiroquai

Whether or not there will be new tracks for download or if the soundtrack will be different for other territories is currently unknown.
Looks decent, though there are a few too many modern hip-hop beats for my liking. I think it should definitely appeal to the crowd EA is looking at if they advertise it well. Looks like a well made game, I'll probably at least give it a rent.
