Depends. If you are only doing this for a hobby, go for it. If you want to be a cartoonist go for it. But if you want a real degree, no.

Adding to what Gray said, if their cartoon style is similar to yours, then yes, if not, no.

But thats not important. You still learn the basics and everything. You just apply your own style later on. There isn't a striaght out "easternized" art school you know.

I think whatever you learn isn't wasted, as long as you enjoy it go for it.
