lol. YAYS!!! *has no clue about the history of the forum* I think RN Forums started around August 2003. Not really sure about the main site. When I joined in jan 04, there were already about 100 members. Pretty nice huh? We got up toaround 400, and then sometime last year Jason did a clean up deleting members that had 0 posts, went down to about 150 members, and again, we are past 400. Not bad i must say.

I guess so, but how many of them actually post now? The only people I ever see is you, pilgrim, like one or two other members, and the overlords of the forums and site.

That seems to be the case, but it's hard to draw people to the boards when you're a fan site. Granted sites like PlanetGamecube.com and Nsider.com have a following, but they've been well established for a long time now. We're actively trying to get more people to take a look at RN, though. With more feature-type material exclusive to this site, like the Metroid Week we just finished up, we hope to appeal to more people and pull some of them into the forums.

Hmmmm... perhaps... can I make a sig for 1up.com's forums, and have it be a link to this site or the forum? Dunno just a thought. Speaking of Metroid Week, those were some nice articles. Kudos.

Yay @ new record. As for getting more members, Justin summed it up pretty well. We are trying to get more people to visit the site and join the forums, but it's pretty hard to go up against established sites like Planet GameCube. We're definitely making progress, through. Hmmmm... perhaps... can I make a sig for 1up.com's forums, and have it be a link to this site or the forum? Dunno just a thought. That'd be great. The more publicity, the better.

Pilgrim, if you have a 1up account, send me a friend request. My name is Geemrio. I thought about getting an account there, but isn't 1up.com run by a bunch of narcissists? Namely, the EGM editors? But I'll mull that over.

But I'll mull that over. I like them, but I just assumed you had one because you said you were going to put a link in your sig. They have a cool little setup for users though, which is the main reason I made an account.

Haha, I see. I have a DeviantArt account, and I'm also found skulking about in a few other message boards, so I can edit my sigs there. But the 1up account sounds tantalizing.

Well at least it is a better forum than say... Gamespot... and IGN.
Those sites are massive, and full of a-holes. The people who do the reviews have total bias and aren't really as personal gamers as IGN.
On Gamespot's forum I said something about a review being bias and talking about the reviewer's other reviews. She happens to be an Admin on the the forum as well. She IP banned me. A little over the top. I made like 15-17 ban dodge accounts after that. I have an account there so I could with my friends, but I am currently suffering from a strange glitch that doesn't say I'm banned or anything, but I can't post, read blogs, write blogs, read posts, writes reviews, and I am sitll leveling up.
IGN... I just don't like IGN. The forums are massive and kinda suck. You have to pay in order to have an avatar and they seem more like a corporate machine than anything.
