By the sounds of it, don't expect a cooked story or built characters. Gameplay would be fun, but not much different from previous Zelda games. Suddenly, I don't feel like getting this game. I hate halfbaked stories. No story is better than crappy or half-baked stories. Oh man, don't let my mindless ranting stop you from purchasing this game. The story really is pretty good, it just doesn't live to my impossible expectations. You'd be a fool to let this game go just because of what you read here.

I will play a game with little-to-no story, great story, or a silly story (that doesnt take itself seriously), but a broken or pointless story and the gamepaly isnt very new, not my thing. Never really been a Zelda fan anyways.

Gray - If you like only gameplay that is very new, get a DS or Wii and sell your 360. Go! ... yeah. Thats quite an absurd statement for any gamer to make methinks. I am not going to say that 360 is bad --in fact, I think its a great system. But to say that any of that system's killer apps are innovative is a stretch. Yes, I've played quite a few hours of Gears of War--and people who say "duck and cover or die" is innovative haven't played too many games. Graphics and atmosphere are amazing, but gameplay is quite standard in most aspects. Anyway, Zelda's story is not broken or pointless--whoever tells you otherwise is wrong. If Zelda's not your thing, then thats cool--but don't dock the game for not innovating (which it does in some ways) or having a sub-par story.
EDIT: I might also mention that mentioning new gameplay while having a Splinter Cell icon is humerous.

I know GoW isn't innovative, but it is intense, and me and my little bro are having more fun in the co-op mode than we did in Halo or Halo 2. Splinter-Cell, not really innovative either, but it is my first stealth game. XD I think it's pretty fun at least, and the story is sorta realistic. I'm not really docking the game for the story, but the gameplay, I've never really thought it to be the best IMO. Don't get me wrong, the game series is good, but just not favorite, and since I won't be getting a Wii for a while and I'm selling the GC, I won't get either game. Zelda doesn't seem like the only reason why I should get a Wii.

So GO DOWN TO A SHOP AND GET IT DAMMIT.

I have to agree with KoE: ]Hades[, it's a beautiful game, any gamer despite what genre needs this game. I didn't like OoT (shock, horror) and loved WW because of it's emotion (and the graphics were awesome IMO). Twilight Princess takes the best aspects from both of these games and introduces an amazing world. You'll be hard pressed to find a gamer that doesn't like this game (excluding PS2 n00bs)

Sadly, many gamers didn't like it. Then again, after listening to all these whiners bitching about how games these days just aren't cool, it's a wonder why anyone listens to them anyway.

True, true.
It's a shame people can't accept teh fact that all consoles have awesome games and we should respect those games.

Never got to finish OoT. Dunno, because I played WW first, maybe the graphics put me off. I mean, I couldn't stand N64 graphics on the GC (yeah, I got the limited edition one).

Exactly the same as me, I got MQ and OoT with WW but I didn;t like it at all. I've finished it but got nothing out of it, except one moment where you battle dark link that made me go 'wow'.

That's exactly what I did when I first got lent the game (in N64 format) I was really bad so I ended up giving it up. But you should complete it, it's worth seeing the spirit temple and Ganon. It's a lovely game but not the best of all time.

I've been enjoying the game since I got it with the system. I can't really say it's the best game I've played for the Wii. Don't get me wrong through since it really is a good game, but it's obvious that this bad boy wasn't built from the ground up for the Wii. We've got the aiming with the wii remote which is fun and a few other things, but for the most part you can tell it was made for the Cube with a few things added.

But what else would you add for the Wii? I love it as it is, and if they did something stupid like monton sensored movement or whatnot that would of been silly.
