www.smashbros.com/en_us/items/item02.html
You let out big bombs of firecrackers using this weapon, and at the same time aim in any direction using the control stick(up or down). Speaking of 'control stick', the GCN controller(and Wavebird) has one, the 'classic controler' has two, and the nunchuk also has one, as well (unless the nunchuk is using the accelrometer or the 'wiimote' motion sensing to aim the weapon up or down. Just my guess.). Otherwise, since I see the Wiimote icon on the 'how to play' icon in the site, it probably mean were using 'all' three control modes(Wiimote/nunchuk, GCN controler, and the Classic Controller. Again, just my guess).
Anyway, this sure looks like an awesome new weapon.
*Update*
New Stage: If you played Super Mario Sunshine, then this stage will be fun to play on.

For the stage, you can fight on a platform while moving to other parts of Isle Delfino.
Makes me wanna play Super Mario Sunshine again. ^_^

I wonder if they're going to have any level from Metroid Prime? I... can't seem to remember any Prime levels. It's been almost three and a half years since I played it last, and I don't own it anymore (Gave it to a friend for his birthday). :/

Maybe that will refresh your guys memories.
Or better yet, go here. This thread the user posted from the forums confirms some of the stages in SSBB that we have seen from both trailers, yet not up on the updated SSBDojo, yet:

After looking at the trailers again:
SSBB Battlefield Stage Isle Delfino - Like Mute City stage from SSBM, you can fight on a platform landing in different areas. Corneria - Fox's Stage which is located in space near possibily at the planet Corneria. Yoshi's Island Stage(and the stage is using the day/night system just like the SSBB Battlefield stage) SSBB Pokemon Stadium Stage Stage from Fire Emblem Mario Circuit stage Haliberd - MetaKnight's Stage in which you fight on a platform landing in different areas like the Hailberd and Isle Delfino stage. Shadow Moses Stage from Metal Gear Solid Angel Land - Pit's stage
And that's that. All that's left is to wait till next week to see if the daily updates will show more about these stages and their interaction to them when fighting in them.

They didn't go anywhere except for throughout the sky in the trailor. To compare it to the Isle Delfino stage is a boneheaded move on your part. But I wonder how the Shadow Moses level would play? Will there be security guards? Or will the metallic menace itself, the Metal Gear Rex, appear? And, Ruben: Forget it. I don't think many of the Melee stages are coming back. But, there is a chance that they'll put in a few Melee stages, like how they included "classic" stages from the first game. Who knows.
