This is the Official SSBB Daily Site Updates thread. So from now on, this is the thread for the latest news about the SSBB which is from the official site. Below is the link to the site:

The site has finally been re-launched:

I kept my hopes very low during this wait. The site shows three active links to click on:

Basics: Which is the introduction of playing smash bros. for those who are beginners in the series.

Stages: So far, the battlefield(SSBB battlefield) is the only stage we are seeing right now. During battles, the scenery changes overtime from day, evening, and night. Hmm... Wonder if WiiConnect24 is doing that? ^_^ Oh, well. And last...

Music: if you go and click on the music link, you will be taken to a big list of musicians which did games from different video game series. Wanna know who they are? Well, to to the site and find out for yourself!

Man, after that bladder explosion... And now look... It's a pretty meager update. No new characters introduced, no new stages showcased, nothing but a list of musicians I can't remember. ><

Well, like I said, I never brought my hopes up and I wasn't expecting much from the site. I'm just happy to see the site get an upgrade, even if it isn't a big upgrade. I'm content to see SSBB information come gradually from that site.

Oh, and did you check out the list of musicans on the site? Do you think that they hold clues to what characters are going to be in the game?

Then again, I doubt it even though many of them are provding big music for SSBB.

Well, as a matter of fact, no. Just because the music composer from Kingdom Hearts is helping make an SSB game doesn't mean Sora will show up. Motoi Sakuraba made the music for both Baten Kaitos and the Tales of series, but I don't see a Kalas cameo in Symphonia.

New daily updates on the site:

So far in the past, there's ten characters in the offical SSBB roster.

The first characters are Mario and Link(which we already know are going to be in the game, obviously) that are in the 'veteran' section. Right now, just a few minutes ago, Pit(of Kid Icarus fame) has just been added in the 'newcomers' section(complete with 4 new screenshots of him.

The "Gooey Bomb" is the first 'new' SSBB item revealed. Whether it will replace the motion sensing bomb in SSBM is unknown at this point. Looks like a nice item. ^_^

And since the site is officially getting updates daily, this thread should be the official thread of that to talk news about it. So feel free to check on this thread more often.

New item - Final Smash. Another new smash bros. item, this is the key to the super moves we have seen in the trailers. Sakurai describes it as a sort of "personalized hammer". They look awesome, but I'm sure I will spend most of the time playing w/o them since my friends are anti-item nazis : (.

So, the "Final Smash"(by grabbing the 'Smash Ball') introduces "Supers" in the SSB series. Mario's "Mario Finale" looks really powerful after watching the E32K6 SSBB trailer. And I bet you can activte this move by tilting the control stick forward(or probably upward if you enemies are in midair, or downward if your enemies are in the ground while you're in midair), and pressing both "standard" and "smash" attack buttons simtaniously. So far, the others: Link's "FS" has him doing a 'super combo' like move to Mario, and Kirby's "FS" has him peforming a move using a boiling pot to boil Mario.

Can't wait to see more of the other Smash fighters "FS" moves revealed. Especially Pit.

Yeah, those were the only three Final Smashes revealed. Suspiciously, Pikachu's wasn't revealed, even though he was the fourth other "returning champion" featured in the same video.

They've also updated with a new play style: "Run and Gun"! We can finally use those guns while running and jumping. I think that's the best idea done so far in the game. Plus, it looks like the Superscope is coming back, from the screenshots I saw.
