*Update/music*
www.smashbros.com/en_us/music/music03.html
For those who are familliar with Ridley from Metroid, this is his theme/boss music. And since this is just my speculation, could this mean that Ridley himself is going to be a newcomer in SSBB?
Once again, my speculation. I'm going to go on the safe side and say that Ridely's chances of being included in Brawl have gone from 30% to a possible 50%. But remember, his theme is a boss battle theme, and the update even says that it's being included is simply because it's an "action-packed" piece of music. So we still wouldn't know.

We can all but wait, unless you are willing to sneak into the Nintendo HQ that is.

New item update. Once again, something that's already been seen before in past SSB games. However...
www.smashbros.com/en_us/items/item03.html
Unlike in past SSB games, when they appear in a stage, they come in different models based on the stage before breaking them open. In the 'Yoshi's Island' stage, they come as 'presents'. For Fox's stage(which isn't 'entirely' shown on the site, yet), they appear as metallic versions of the crates/barrels. Also, Sakurai explains that 'sliding boxes' will make things 'more hectic'.

That last part makes me wonder if there's going to be a pirate ship as a battle stage (Like Kaptain K. Rool's ship, for example?), withwaves rocking it about. The crates and barrels would definitely make things a bit more difficult that way.

Final update for the week:
www.smashbros.com/en_us/characters/samus.html
Our favorite bounty hunter is back and she is in the veterans section(along with four new screenshots of her in action).
So far, we already seen her 'without' her suit(as 'Zero Suit Samus' holding a gun which she turns into a beam sword), after firing a powerful beam('FS' possibly?) against Pit and Metaknight on the Haliberd stage. This happened since the first trailer at last years E3 was revealed.
From what I see from those new four screenshots, she looks very much like the 'Metroid Prime' Samus than the Samus' from the first two SSB games(way before MP came out in 2002).

It's a whip. Samus has gone all futuristic dominatrix on us. D : Still, the graphics to this game keep making my jaw drop. If this trend continues, I'll have to nail my mouth shut. >_<

Har, if Ridley's in it, my friend Ash is going to.. I dunno. Do something big. Like scream and try to shove the TV down her pants. Samus is a dominatrix now?

@ *KOE*
Then you're going to 'have' to be paitent. Sorry, but that's the best advice I can give you. There's a reason why I 'always' keep my expectations very low for these updates: To 'not' set myself up for dissapointment.
*Our first update for the week of June 18-22*
Mario's "Mario Finale" gave us an example of a "Final Smash" attack since we seen the first trailer at last years E3. Today's update takes us to our next "FS" demonstration:
www.smashbros.com/en_us/characters/link.html
This "FS" attack from our favorite Hyrulian hero of the LOZ series is called the "Triforce Slash". This powerful attack is peforms like a "Super Combo" attack(much like in the Capcom Vs. series or any other 2D fighting game in which you peform supers. The attack also klnda reminds me of Cloud Strife's(FFVII) and Squall Leonhart's(FFVIII) Limit Break attacks.

Actually, yeah it kinda does... Except Renzokuken wasn't this badass.
And yes, where are all the new characters? (Please tell me Ashley is playable!)

*update* June 19, 2007
Why, it's another "FS" demonstration! And it's from our favorite yellow mouse:
www.smashbros.com/en_us/characters/pikachu.html
This airborne "FS" attack is called the "Volt Tackle". With this move activated after grabbing the "Smash Ball", Pikachu can deal some big damage. Sakurai explains the pros and cons about it well in that link.
Pretty nice move. ^_^
