Here is an off-topic thread for and off-topic board. There is generally no rule to this except no double posting and do not break any RN rules.
All you do in here is just reply to what the previous person said. You can reply and then start a new topic after whatever. This can be random. This IS RANDOM. No point to it really.

Just crappy. Can't seem to get motivated to do artwork for my comic (I'm still stuck on page five of the first chapter > <), tension in my household has somehow increased, my little brother's a brat, all my erasers are gone, and to top it all off, a hobo tried to beat me up. Well, actually, no: he tried to beat up my boss--which was kind of entertaining. What games has everyone been into lately? For myself, I can say that I've had some slow gaming... haven't played anything for weeks, then tried to play Marvel vs. Capcom 2, only to discover that my PS2 won't play it anymore. Then I tried playing FFXII, only to discover that I have absolutely no idea where to go now.

Wow, that sucks. I hope your comic will fare though. Ever need my help just ask me. Hahaha... just found out one of my old co-workers that only stayed for like half a month was homeless. Found out this marine I have befriended is going to Iraq. I support the troops, but not the war. I hope he comes back safely. NJ has been weird. I am currently at my dad's office building inside someone else's office gaining access to the net. Gaming has been slow for me. All I have is my DS. Been playing through Final Fantasy VI which I am almost done with, and then I'm about 1/4 done with Final Fantasy V, and I restarted Final Fantasy III. Dunno what to do when I'm done. Already beat the rest of my games. Been checking out E3, getting pumped for some great looking games. Final Fantasy XII... I gotta finish that. I played about 20 hours into it and then I stopped playing PS2 all together in November. Harry Potter and airline food... whats up with that?

You support the troops and not the war, eh? Let's see how that works on other areas of life.
"I support pencils, but I don't support writing."
"I support our football team, but I don't support football."
"I support our freedom of speech, but I don't support the ability of others to disagree."
"I support Stan Lee, but I don't support Marvel Comics."
"I support sex, but I don't support reproduction."
"I support The Simpsons, but I don't support comedy."
"I support story-tellers, but I don't support books."
"I support hamburgers, but I don't support eating."
"I support Super Mario Bros., but I don't support having fun."
"I support the English language, but I don't support literacy."
"I support rock and roll, but I don't support music."
"I support money, but I don't support the economy."
"I support health insurance, but I don't support recieving medical attention."
"I support power tools, but I don't support home repairs."
"I support our policemen, but I don't support the protection they provide."
"I support fire fighters, but I don't spport fighting fires."
"I support airplanes, but I don't support national travelling."
"I support medicine, but I don't support overcoming sickness."
"I support marriage, but I don't support the happiness one can obtain by spending the rest of his life with his wife."
"I support air, but I don't support breathing."
In other words, you're saying that you support a tool, but not the job it accomplishes, or helps accomplish. After researching the war, and observing it (That is, without having the biased "Old Media" do it for me), I think I can safely say that the terrorists we fight belong to al-Quida, and that our enemies need to be put down. They're in Iraq, because WE are in Iraq. They hate America, for no other reason than that we're America. They are an evil like no other--not even the Nazis compare to their evil. We leave Iraq, we give up this war, and they'll follow us. They'll believe they've won, and that they're going to destroy America. I dunno about the rest of you, but I seriously don't want to see another 9/11. I'd rather this war drag on for another 15-20 years than to see al-Quida even so much as THINK they won.

I've been watching Fuse, obsessing over new bands, and currently I really think that Paramore is cool. And I probably will be thinking that for a while. Can you believe half of them aren't even twenty years old yet? Oh yeah, and.. If you had to pick between a Get Up Kids album and a Modest Mouse album, what would you choose?

Personally, I don't care about either one of them. I'd pick Weird Al and Skillet over them.

I didn't turn this into a **** you thread. I don't care for this war, but I do support the troops who do it. I don't want them to die. They are dying for what? For what might I ask? Terrorists are evil, but why do terrorists become terrorists? It isn't just misplaced anger. It is more like som weird disagreement. Why did Timothy McVeigh, who I might add is a caucasian America, blew up the Oklahoma City government building? Oh yeah, for WACO and Ruby Ridge, cracker religions caused that ****. Not the Muslims. If you love this war so much, why don't you go and fight it? Isn't that what you believe in? Seriously, the terrorists in Iraq went to Iraq, because get this,(i underlined it for you in your own thing) we are in Iraq. What are we doing in Iraq in the first place? Besides, the best offense is an even better defense. Consider this... why did we go to Iraq instead of finish off with terrorism in other countries? We found nothing in Iraq that really did anything, but we decided to stick around, waste lives, and pulled each other's ****s. @ Cammy. Modest Mouse album, but look into "Zeitgeist" by Smashing Pumpkins.

OKAY : D I don't think they had that Smashing Pumpkins album there.. I was looking for Mellon Collie but they didn't offer it with the case or inserts.
Oh yeah, and I looked into the Police like you said in that other message. They're pretty good, but after what Message in a Bottle did to my right hand I'll always hold a grudge against that song. This was on Guitar Hero II btw, and after I played Heart-Shaped Box. T_T

Grey: Supporting the tool for the job but not the job itself erases everything the tool is meant to do, which means that you devalue our troops, not support them. Why didn't we attack another country? Frankly, it wouldn't have mattered very much if we attacked Iraq's bases or terrorist cells like Hezballah--we'd still be seeing the same negative, anti-Bush/anti-war news castings we've been seeing. So it really wouldn't matter where it began. Our new mongrels have been waiting for a new new Vietnam since the end of the last one, and they're getting their wish, thank you. It's pretty eerie to see our own media support terrorists over their own troops.
Back to subject. As far as music goes, I haven't bought a CD in a while... I should probably scour for some from my favorite groups.

I just bought two Modest Mouse albums, and the one I talked about above should be coming.. soon. SOON. And then I checked out Panic! at the Disco's album on a whim.. I must say, I'm very surprised some of these songs *weren't* singles. They would've helped this band in looking a LOT less like a band worth talking trash about. But now I wonder why I don't like Fall Out Boy anymore (vocalists are practically identical, and musical styles aren't too different)..

Can't you accept the fact that Bush is the most unpopular president of our time and that this war hasn't solved anything yet. Tell me one thing that has been solved besides Saddam. I bought a new turntable today and bought a new copy of the "Damaged" by Black Flag vinyl record.

Its just whether or not you care what you are listening to than just hearing something and wanting to listen.
