I really wasn't into Mario sports games myself, but I wouldn't mind a sequel to Mario Strikers. Why? For one reason: this time, they can actually put in the minigames to compliment the wild gameplay.

I still say shelve the Mario sports games for a gen, limit it to one Mario Party. Sure, they sell like hotcakes and that's good for Nintendo, but it's actually slowly killing the industry in the same way that EA is. I think the Mario sports games are fine. They're fun, arcade-style sports games. The only thing that I think Nintendo should stop doing is the guest appearances of Mario in other games, such as NBA Street and SSX. That's just pointless.

They're fine, but they are also limiting Camelot to making Mario Sports games forever. Let Camelot make a console RPG, Nintendo needs those far more.

Oh yeah, I'd also prefer to see Camelot make a Golden Sun game (or some other RPG) for Revolution than another Mario sports game. I'm just saying that the Mario sports games shouldn't disappear.

Agreed. I say keep them coming, especially if they can keep them up to par with Super Mario Strikers. They give a nice alternative to sim sports game, and most all of them are fun. If I don't get Mario Tennis Online for the Revolution I'm going to be pissed. As for the guest appearances, I'm indifferent on that. I could see why someone would argue against putting them in, but at the same time, it really doesn't bother me much and is the reason I bought the Cube version of SSX On Tour honestly.

Uh, didn't they have Mario as a playable character in the Cube version of Batman Begins? Nah, just kidding, lol. But a console Golden Sun is what the Gamecube would definitely need... So far, its final lineup only consists of oddities (Chibi Robo, Odama), anime games (Naruto Clash of Ninja), and sequels (Baten Kaitos 2 and Twilight Princess). Wouldn't it be a nice surprise if a new Golden Sun for the Cube were revealed at the next E3....

Nintendo will mostly be focusing on Revolution, and if we see a Golden Sun game at all, I think it'll be on Revolution. Why would Camelot/Nintendo release a previously-unannounced game on GameCube when they could make it a Revolution launch title?

I hate to speculate, but with Zelda probably going to be referred to as a Revolution launch title now, we're looking at a relatively weak launch lineup, or a super launch lineup. I mean, Zelda has never been at a system launch. It won't technically be here, but I am guaranteeing it will be advertised as a Revolution title, and for good reason. Zelda is their flagship, and Wind Waker (for the right or wrong reasons) was the reason a lot of people turned away from the Cube. Obviously, Twilight Princess gets things off on the right foot. Imagine having the new Metroid and Smash Bros. there too? Would the world explode if that happened? My head would! Think about what we don't know yet, like the Camelot game, or how far along the FF:CC game is, or Miyamoto's new IP. This definitely has the potential to be the best E3 ever, and considering how sweet '01, '02 and '04 were, that speaks volumes.

I'm not sure why you would think Zelda will be referred to as a Revolution game when Nintendo has repeatedly beat it into everyone's skull that it is without a doubt a Cube game. Sure, maybe they'll advertise that it is backwards compatible, along with all other Cube games, and maybe they will even have it compatible with the FHC controller (although recent quotes have me questioning that). It is a definitely a Cube game, however, and will advertised as one and I definitely wouldn't say Nintendo is banking in it for the Revolution's launch, that would be absurd. As for what's in store for the Rev's launch, who really knows? Metroid Prime 3 is almost a guarantee, and Smash Bros Rev will likely launch with it or in the launch window. Tecmo is launching with some weird golf game, although we may or may not see it in the U.S. Suda51 might just have something for us and I expect a new Wave Race just might make it into the launch lineup. Honestly, with the way Nintendo is promoting the Revolution, as long as development teams are up for the challenge, it really shouldn't take long to bring their games into existence which could lead to many launch, and launch window games.

I'm referring to this quote from Reggie:
EGM: Speaking of Zelda best case scenario it's a few months away from Revolution launch worst case scenario it's coming out at the same time. Is there ever a point where you believe that it would be better to switch it over to Revolution? Or does it not matter since the Revolution will be backward compatible with Cube games?
RF: Exactly. I think that our senior management has made it very clear that bringing Zelda: Twilight Princess out on Gamecube is important, that we want to satisfy the Gamecube fan base and have it be on that system. You've said the obvious which is that because Revolution's backwards compatible it will almost effectively be a launch title for Revolution.
It'll come out for GameCube, but I bet you it'll be marketed primarily for Revolution. It'll come out on GameCube to appease those owners, but I highly doubt they'll market a huge GameCube game when their next console is on its way out. Why compete with yourself?

In the quote he says that it is a GameCube game meant to satisfy the GameCube fan base, but it's backwards compatible, like all Cube games will be, so it could essentially be seen as an addition the Revolution line up. With so much emphasis on satisfying the Cube fan base, I can't see them marketing it more for the Revolution than for the Cube, so I still stand with my position.

What benefits Nintendo more? Selling Revolutions or making GameCube owners happy? Think about it.

Happy GCN Owners = "I should buy a Revolution!" e.g. myself.
